What a TOEFL coaching looks like

  • Start with a diagnostic

We review your real scores and run a grammar diagnostic to locate the plateau before spending on lessons.

  • Targeted, not generic

Hours go to your weakest sections, not a one-size curriculum.

  • TEDL for speaking & writing

A repeatable response framework so those sections stop being a gamble.

  • Homework that builds real English

2–4 hrs/week of independent reading, writing, listening, & speaking to build confidence, fluency, & score.

Why TOEFL scores don’t go up

Many of my students speak English comfortably but still hit a wall with academic English: the vocabulary, sentence structures, and writing conventions school expects but rarely teaches. Reading and writing lag even when speaking is strong.

They start translating in their head before every assignment, stop asking questions, and slowly lose confidence in their own English.

How TOEFL coaching works

I teach the academic English schools often test students on but fail to teach — the reading, the writing structure, the precise vocabulary. Many students’ efforts don’t show up in their grades. That’s not their fault.

With strong English skills comes improved confidence and communication skills. The grades will follow.

A plan built on your weak sections

Sessions push reading, writing and speaking every time, but the executive-function support runs underneath all of it: knowing where to start, what matters, and how to keep going when the task feels like too much.

TOEFL speaking and writing

The point isn't to drill English. It's to get a student trusting their own voice in it, spoken and written. Sessions move at the student's pace, not a clock's, and there's no penalty for needing to slow down.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to be fluent already to work with you?

You should be comfortable in conversational English. My focus is precision and confidence for professional settings — not first-time instruction.

What kinds of professionals do you work with?

Executives, teams, and individual professionals who want stronger business and workplace English — for meetings, presentations, interviews, and high-stakes conversations.

Do you offer online classes or only in Houston?

I coach remotely across the U.S. Most professionals choose online because it's easy to fit around work.

Do you prepare people for the TOEFL or other exams?

Yes. TOEFL and proficiency exam prep is a regular part of what I do, built around your test date.

What does a session actually look like?

We work on something real — a mock interview, a presentation, an email — and sharpen clarity, pronunciation, and confidence as we go.c
