Paragraph Writing Help Tool

This free paragraph writing help tool uses my T.E.D.L. mnemonic to teach students how to write strong sentences and paragraphs!

Students can use it on their own to complete academic writing tasks, but it was built to be a writing coach that parents, teachers, tutors, and homeschool educators could use to enhance learning during writing lessons.

This is not just plugging a paragraph into ChatGPT.

Check out the instructional videos.

The tool does not correct student work. It identifies mistakes or weaknesses and provides rules and directions on how to improve.

Students can’t copy and paste their work until they are done making corrections. Writing feedback can be translated into over 10 languages.

What T.E.D.L. Stands For

T: Topic Sentence

E: Example Sentence

D: Detail Sentence

L: Linking/Last Sentence

How it Works

A student pastes in their own sentences or paragraph. The tool points out grammar and punctuation errors, shows examples of stronger sentence construction, and highlights what the student already did well.

What it won't do is correct student work. That's deliberate. Students improve by working through the feedback themselves, not by copying a fixed answer.

Who it’s For

Homeschool educators, classroom teachers, tutors, parents, and students are all welcome to use this tool for free. Use it however it helps—as a warm-up, a revision check, or a way to give a student feedback when you're short on time.

I'd genuinely like to hear how you're using it. If it helps your students, tell me.
